About Me
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Cameron Owens knew at an early age that he wanted to share his voice with others.
He got his start In Kindergarten reading the morning announcements.
He attended the University of Kentucky and earned his Broadcast Journalism degree in 2016.
After college, He broke into the industry, spending a little over a year as a television news producer at the ABC affiliate in Lexington, Kentucky. He took over the Noon show, and helped create a new lifestyle TV show focusing on current events, celebrity news and highlighting local businesses and community members.
In May of 2017, Cameron took his talents up North to the ‘Queen City’ in Buffalo, New York.
He started off as a weekend evening news producer and was later promoted to weekday 4pm producer.
During his time in Buffalo, Cameron produced special projects about current events impacting Western New Yorkers including a special about “Race Relations in WNY” following the George Floyd protests, and a Black History Month special highlighting important figures in the Buffalo community.
Currently, Cameron is a tv news producer at a local station in the ‘Queen City” also known as Charlotte, North Carolina.
When he’s not clocked in, Cameron enjoys spending time with family, friends, bowling, traveling and cooking!
