About Me

Sharon Taylor is an Advisory Council Member of the Arthur Scandrett Disability Scholarship
Foundation, contributing expertise in entrepreneurship education, workforce development, and economic empowerment. She is the Founder and CEO of the Business Vision and Development Center (BVDC), a pioneering organization dedicated to equipping aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools, training, and strategic insight needed to build sustainable businesses.

A seasoned entrepreneurship educator, Ms. Taylor has designed and delivered high-impact workshops, online courses, and training programs that translate complex business concepts into practical, actionable strategies. Her work spans both traditional and digital learning environments, with a focus on closing knowledge gaps that often limit access to economic opportunity.

Ms. Taylor is the creator of Filing the Gap, BVDC’s flagship training program, which guides participants through the full entrepreneurial lifecycle—from idea development  to business formation and growth. Her approach emphasizes clarity, structure, and long-term viability, aligning closely with the Foundation’s commitment to empowering individuals through education.

In addition to her entrepreneurial leadership, Ms. Taylor is an Air Force Veteran and currently serves as a Program Analyst at the U.S. Small Business Administration. She brings a disciplined, systems-oriented perspective to advising the Foundation, particularly in areas related to workforce readiness, financial literacy, and post-educational success for scholars with disabilities.
